Adam Scoon volunteered from The 7th Camerons to airborne forces. He was parachute jump trained at RAF Ringway on course 26. This course ran between 6 - 12 September 1942.
He became a member of The 5th (Scottish) Parachute Bn, B Coy, 9 Pln.
18 December 1944 he sustained a gunshot wound and lost a finger. He was sadly killed in an aircrash evacuating to Italy 21 December 1944.
He is buried at Bari War Cemetery 12.E.5
