Lieutenant Robert Stanley Warren was the son of Bertram Albert and Winifred Maud Warren, of St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex.
He was granted an emergency commission in The Parachute Regiment on 11 November 1944, and qualified as a military parachutist on course 146, which ran at RAF Ringway in December.
Lt Warren initially served at the Depot and School Airborne Forces prior to a posting to 13th Parachute Battalion.
He deployed with the battalion, as part of the 5th Parachute Brigade, to the Far East where he was involved in internal security duties in Semerang, Java.
Lt Warren died on active service on 15 May 1946, aged 20 years old, and is now buried at Cheras Road Civil Cemetery, Kuala Lumpur.
