George Dickinson Brakes served with the 33rd Parachute Field Regiment Royal Artillery after completing Parachute Course 413 at RAF Abingdon in February 1956.
Lance Bombardier Brakes saw service in Cyprus from August to November 1956 and in Egypt from November to December 1956. This was followed by service in the UK until he left the army in 1958.
