Lance Corporal John Reardon-Parker was the son of Vera Reardon-Parker, and the husband of Madeline Reardon-Parker, of Chadwell Heath, Essex.
He volunteered for The Parachute Regiment and attended parachute training course number 81 at RAF Ringway between 6 and 16 September 1943. His course report stated: 'confident and cheerful, work very satisfactory.'
L/Cpl Reardon-Parker served with 591 (Antrim) Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.
Lance Corporal Reardon-Parker died on 7 June 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
