Corporal Wilfred George Sloper, son of Frederick G and Winifred G Sloper, of Andover, Hampshire, served with 1st Airlanding Recce Squadron, Reconnaissance Corps. He took part in the invasion of Italy, during Autumn 1943.
Corporal Sloper died on 11 September 1943, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
