Signalman Derrick Berry, son of Albert and Ada Berry, of Gorton, Manchester, served with 1st (Airborne) Corps of Signals, Royal Corps of Signals. He took part in the Rhine Crossing, during Op Varsity.
Signalman Berry died on 24 March 1945, aged 19 years old. He is now buried at Venray War Cemetery, Limburg in Holland.
