Lance Corporal Alexander Nisbet, son of Alexander and Christina Nisbet, of Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia, served with 2nd Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers. He took part in the Italian campaign.
He died on 16 January 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy.
