Sapper Roderick John Williams, son of John and Alexandrina Williams, of Hove, Sussex, served with 4th Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 21 September 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery.
