Private Jack Dunkerley, son of Squire and Hilda Dunkerley, of Oldham, Lancashire, served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion.
He took part in the deployment of 5th Parachute Brigade to the Far East and died on 30 June 1946, aged 20 years old. He is now buried in Taiping War Cemetery, Malaysia.
