Lance Corporal Herbert Arthur Holdsworth, son of Edward and Zettee Caroline Holdsworth, of Gildersome, Yorkshire, served with 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Border Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 23 September 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
