Private Alfred W E Pyatt

Alfred W E Pyatt was the son of Alfred Edwin and Agnes Pyatt, Slough in Buckinghamshire.

He volunteered for the airborne forces from The RAC. He was parachute jump trained at RAF Ringway on Course 96. This course ran between 16 and 30 December 1943. His instructor noted :

"Above average, very consistent and reliable"

Alfred was then posted to The 13th Para Bn. 

He was killed in action 19 August 1944 and was laid to rest at the Putot - en - Auge churchyard in France.
