Private Harold Hughes served with 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion and took part in the Allied response to the Ardennes offensive, during Winter 1944-5.
Private Hughes died on 7 January 1945, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Brussels Town Cemetery, Evere district, Brussels, Belgium.
