Private Norman Johnson, son of Ada Johnson, of Queen's Ferry, Flintshire, initially served with the Royal Welch Fusiliers, before becoming part of HQ Company, 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion, passing Parachute Course 21/22 in August 1942. He served in the Italian campaign.
Private Norman Johnson died on 7 December 1943, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Sangro River War Cemetery, near Taranto, Italy.
