Corporal Albert Van Rynen

Corporal Albert Van Rynen was the son of Victor and Ada Eliza Van Rynen, of Street, Somerset, and husband of Gwendoline Joyce Van Rynen, also of Street. He served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.

Corporal Van Rynen died on 6 June 1944, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
