Private Herbert Tollitt, son of James Henry and Eliza Ann Tollitt, of Stockport, Cheshire, served with 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 24 September 1944, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
