Nigel John Douglas Turner, son of Lt.-Col. W. M. Turner, Royal Artillery and Elsa Turner, of Harrow-on-the-Hill, Middlesex; husband of Mercy Turner, of Harrow on the Hill, London, was commissioned into the Suffolk Regiment in January 1940.
Captain Turner died aged 29 on 24 May 1945 whilst serving with The Parachute Regiment in Burma and is buried in Rangoon War Cemetery, Burma.
