Private Frederick Howard Squire, son of Alexander James and Alice Maude Squire, of Wallasey, served with 11th Parachute Battalion. He was killed in the UK whilst on active-duty (possibly the result of a parachuting training accident) one-month prior to his Battalion parachuting into Arnhem as part of operation Market Garden.
Private Squire died in the UK on 15 August 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Rake Lane Cemetery, Wallasey, Cheshire.
