Private John Edward Rogers was the son of Edward and Sarah Rogers, of Oswestry, Shropshire, and husband of C Rogers. He served with 11th Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
He died on 17 September 1944, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
