Private John Reay, son of John and Margaret Reay and husband of Annie Reay, of Leeds, Yorkshire, served with D Company, The 5th (Scottish) Parachute Battalion.
He undertook parachute jump course 30 which ran at RAF Ringway from 5 to 13 October 1942.
Pte Reay served in Italy and on Operation Manna in Greece.
He died on 4 January 1945 and is now buried in Phaleron War Cemetery, Greece.
