Private Harry Purton, son of Joseph and Dora Purton, of Aston, Birmingham, served with 156 Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Private Purton died on 18 September 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
