Private Sidney Irons served with Support Company, 156 Parachute Battalion and may have been in the Mortar Platoon when he took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Private Irons died on 18 September 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
