Sergeant John Adrian Iliffe was the son of Mr and Mrs John Kirkham Iliffe, and husband of Lilian Iliffe, of Leicester. He served with 8th (Midlands) Parachute Battalion and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.
Sergeant Iliffe died on 6 June 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Troarn Communal Cemetery, near Caen, Normandy.
