Private Edward Lionel Humphries, son of Edward and Mabel Humphries, of Elm Park, Romford, Essex, served with 3rd Parachute Battalion. He took part in the invasion of Sicily, during Op Husky.
Private Humphries died on 14 July 1943, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Catania War Cemetery, Sicily.
