Private Patrick Hughes, son of Peter and Lucy Hughes, of Mancott, Flintshire, served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.
Private Hughes died on 6 June 1944, aged 19 years old. He is now buried at La Delivrande War Cemetery, Douvres-la-Delivrande near Caen, Normandy.
