Private John Hughes served with 3rd Parachute Battalion and took part in North African campaign, during Op Torch.
Private Hughes died between 5-6 January 1943, aged 29 years old. He is now commemorated on the Medjez-el-Bab Memorial, Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.
