Corporal Joseph Hampton, son of Joseph and Dorothy Hampton, served with 3rd Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Corporal Hampton died on 18 September 1944, aged 25 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
