Harry Firth the son of Ernest and Mabel Firth of Bradford, Yorkshire, enlisted in the Northumberland Hussars and later volunteered for airborne forces.
Lance Corpoal Firth was posted to 2nd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment and served on Operation Torch in North Africa.
L/Cpl Firth was killed in action on 27 February 1943 aged 26 years. He was originally buried in Bou Arada Military Cemetery and re-interred on 14 July 1944 to Medjez-El-Bab War Cemetery in Tunisia.
