Cyril Felton was born and lived in West Bromwich, Staffordshire. He enlisted into the Royal Artillery and then volunteered for airborne forces.
Private Felton successfully completed his parachute training at RAF Ringway on course 110 from 3 to 14 April 1944. He was posted to 9th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment. He took part in Operation Varsity (Rhine Crossing).
Pte Felton was killed in action on 24 March 1945, aged 23. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
