Edward Falconer the son of John and Elizabeth Falconer, of Earlston, Berwickshire enlisted into the Kings Own Scottish Borderers before volunteering for airborne forces.
Private Falconer attended parachute training course number 15 at RAF Ringway in June 1942.
He served with 2nd Parachute Battalion and took part in the North African campaign, during Op Torch.
Private Falconer died on 30 November 1942, aged 21 years old. He is now buried in a collective grave at Massicault War Cemetery, Tunisia.
