Seth Elliott was the son of James and Alice Elliott, of Blackburn, Lancashire.
Private Elliott successfully completed his parachute training on the 26 November 1943. It was noted that he "reached a fair standard"
He then served with The 12th (Yorkshire) Parachute Battalion and served with them in Normandy, the Ardennes and on Operation Varsity-the Rhine Crossing.
Pte Elliott was killed on 9 April 1945 and is now buried in Hanover War Cemetery, Germany.
