John Charles Clark son of John and Emma Clark and husband of Emma Louisa Clark, of Wandsworth London, enlisted in the Royal Amoured Corps and later volunteered for airborne forces.
He attended the parachute course 17 at Ringway from 7 July to 12 July 1942. And was posted to the 4th Battalion the Parachute Regiment and took part in Operation Torch in North Africa.
Pte Clark was killed in action on 9 February 1943. He was originally buried in Garfour Military Cemetery and was re-interred to Medjez-El-Bab on 5 July 1944.
