Private Gregg Sandall served with 1 PARA.

Ptes Gregg Sandall and Darren Bull were killed when their hire car overturned as they drove towards Los Angeles on R&R. Their funerals took place at home and a Memorial Service was subsequently held in Aldershot.

OBITUARY - PRlVATE GREGG SANDALL

Affectionately known as 'Flip-Flop'. Gregg Sandall was tragically killed at the age of 22 on 9 April 89. He was serving with the Battalion Group on Ex CALTROP FORCE in California at the time. He was posted to the Battalion in Apr 88 after completing training at Depot PARA. He joined Sp Coy prior to a roulement tour of duty in S Armagh. During this tour he worked with the A/Tk PI. Then in December 88 he was posted to A Coy. He participated in Battalion life to the full. He was a very popular and well respected soldier who will be missed by his many friends. Sincere condolences from all at 1 PARA to his parents and family.
