Michael Beazley served with the Royal Engineers from 1969 joining as a sapper.
In 1975 Michael attended Roytal Military Academy Sandhurts and in 1976 joined 9 PARA Sqn RE, rising to the rank of Captain by 1979.
In 2005 he left the Army with the rank of Lt Col.
