Robert Towell enlisted into the Parachute Regiment in February 1992. After passing P Company he was posted to Rifle Company, 2 PARA and served with them until 2000.
He served also served in Patrol Company as Coy Medic and at times as Coy Signaller.
Lance Corporal Towell undertook tours and exercises in Northern Ireland, Egypt, Belize, Cyprus, France and Germany.
