Thomas 'Jock' Storm enlisted with The Army 1 December 1939. He served with The 5th Black Watch before transferring to The Parachute Regiment.
He was successfully parachute jump trained on Course 3 ADV. This course ran between 21 and 29 January 1942. The course reports note a new method of dropping CLE (containers) being successfully trialled.
Jock served with 1st Para Bn, S Coy, 5 Pln. He served in N. Africa and Italy with HQ Coy. He was wounded 8 March 1943. Jock then took part in Op. Market Garden with T Coy, 9 Pln. He was taken POW and held in Stalag 12A. Although official records show conflicting information on this.
He transferred to the RAOC on 9 August 1945.
