Verdun Rhydderch was a Driver in the Royal Army Service Corps, and served with Airborne Forces during the Second World War.
In September 1944, he was serving with 250 (Airborne) Light Composite Company, RASC in 3 Platoon and took part in the first lift to Arnhem on 17 September, during Op Market Garden.
Driver Rhydderch was taken a Prisoner of War.
