Everett K Trevelyan was an experienced soldier, having served in the Border Regiment for 10 years, serving in India and Northern Ireland.
He then volunteered for the airborne forces and was posted to The 13 Battalion (Lancashire) Parachute Regiment in 1943.
Everett or 'Trev' was parachute jump trained at RAF Ringway on Course 78. This course ran from 14 - 24 August 1943. The course records have his name spelt incorrectly as 'Trievelyan'. Trev's jump instructor noted this about his performance on the course: "Cheerful man, hard worker, improved, finished well".
Trev left the battalion in December 1944.
