Kenneth Ivor Eades was the son of John William George and Gertrude Amelia (Cattermole) Eades, of Clapham Common, London. He enlisted in the General Service Corps and volunteered for airborne forces
Private Eades successfully completed glider training and was posted to 2nd (Airborne) Battalion, Ox and Bucks Light Infantry, and took part in Operation Varsity (Rhine Crossing).
Pte Eades was killed in action between 3 and 4 February 1945, aged 20, and was buried in Reichswald Forest War Cemetery.
