Ronald Francis Frederick Bullock enlisted in The General Service Corps and was posted to The Royal Warwickshire Regiment, he then volunteered for the airborne forces.
Private Bullock attended parachute training course 97 at RAF Ringway which ran from 3 January to 15 January 1944. The course reports states: ‘Pte Bullock, Good performer, determined, morale good.’
After initially being posted to the holding unit, he went to 7 Platoon, C Company, the 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion.
Pte Bolluck jumped into Normandy and saw active service in the Ardennes, the Rhine Crossing and the Advance to the Baltic. On the Rhine Crossing he went on aircraft 210.
He served in Palestine before being demobbed in August 1946.
