George Edward Stasulevich was the son of Peter and Alice May Stasulevich, of New Barnet, Hertfordshire, he enlisted in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment and volunteered for airborne forces.
Lance Corporal Stasulevich successfully completed parachute training at RAF Ringway on course number 103, from 15 to 28 February 1944. His course report stated “Satisfactory performance, keen type”. He was posted to 6 (Airborne) Divisional Workshop, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and took part in Operation Overlord (Normandy).
L/Cpl Stasulevich was killed in action on 19 June 1944, aged 20, and was buried in Ranville War Cemetery, Calvados, France.
