Private Wallace Isherwood was the son of Mr and Mrs William Isherwood and husband of Lilian Isherwood, of Bolton, Lancashire.
He served with 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Border Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden. He died on 23 September 1944, aged 36 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
