The Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Oosterbeek is approximately 7 kilometres west of Arnhem, in the east of the Netherlands.
Over 1,600 Commonweatlh service personnel are buried or commemorated in the cemetery and it contains most of those members of the 1st Airborne Division who were killed during the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944. It is known locally as the Airborne Cemetery, although it also contains many graves from later fighting in the area. .
An annual memorial service has been held since the cemetery was established in 1945. This is attended by local Dutch schoolchildren who lay a flower at each grave during the service.
