Airborne Trolley

This extremely functional trolley was used in the D-Day landings and subsequent airborne operations of  World War II.

Easily assembled in a few minutes, it was packed into a metal container and dropped by parachute. It could be loaded with all the heavier types of equipment not easily carried by man and augmented the limited number of vehicles which could be landed with the troops. It was guided by one man and pulled by a team of two or four men who attached their toggle ropes to the frame.
