Corporal Jack Blower

Jack Blower, enlisted into The Royal Scots and volunteered for airborne forces.

Corporal Blower successfully completed Glider training and was posted to 2nd (Airborne) Battalion Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry. He took part in the 6th Airborne Division response to the German counter-offensive in the Ardennes, during the winter of 1944-5.

Cpl Blower was killed in action on 4 January 1945, and buried in Bure, Tellin, (Belgium) in a temporary burial ground. He was later reinterred in Hotton War Cemetery on 22 May 1947.
