Thomas 'Tam' K Noble passed out of Depot 429 platoon December 1976, moved to C Coy, 3 PARA, in Aldershot.
He served in Germany, Osnabruk, between 1977-1980 and was promoted to LCpl, then Cpl. He moved to Tidworth still with C Company, and posted to Depot Parachute Regiment as an instructor (1981). Tam was called back to 3 PARA for Falklands War, and joined A Coy, 3 Pln - 3 Section, and awarded Mention in Despatches for gallant service Mount Longdon, London Gazette 1982, returned to Depot to finish tour.
Tam returned to 3 PARA Company Patrols, attended SAS selection and RTU from a severe injury.
Promoted to Sergeant moved to Cyprus acting as Platoon Commander, posted to Pirbright Platoon Sergeant Junior Parachute Company, 2 years, moved to NI Palace Barracks 3 PARA CSgt 6 months.
Then he was posted RMAS as Staff Instructor. Returned to 3 PARA , Support Company CQMS, promoted to CSM C Company. 1 year, moved to Phase 1 Trg Lichfield as CSM.
Returned to Logistic Battalion RQMS/ TQMS- 1 Year. Posted to 2 PARA RSM for 2 years. Took part in The Presentation of the Colours in June 1998.
Then he was Commissioned with the rank of Captain (19 April 1999) and posted to 1 PARA , Aldershot.
Tam was sent to Sierra Leone on Op Pallister. MTO after 2 years moved to 2 PARA, Afghanistan , QMT, posted to 2RGR as QM for 2 years, returned as a Major 2 PARA in 2005.
Resigned his commission in 2006 as Major for compassionate reasons.
Moved to Middle East and served as a Lt Colonel Military Contract Officer 9 yrs .
Re-joined FTRS 2015 for 4 years
Tam is now a Security consultant and Training MENA
