Eric Alfred Lawton was the son of George Thomas Lawton and Fanny Lawton, of Birmingham.
After volunteering for airborne forces, Lieutenant Lawton was attached to 12 (Airborne) Battalion, Devonshire Regiment.
He was killed on the 6 April 1945 and is now buried in Hanover War Cemetery, Germany.
