Thomas Norman Bintley volunteered for The Parachute Regiment from the King's Shropshire Light Infantry in January 1944.
Pte Bintley attended parachute training course number 104 at RAF Ringway, between 21 Feburary and 2 March 1944. He was posted to the 2nd SAS Regiment and took part in Operation Trueform, in Normandy.
Pte Bintley was killed on 20 August 1944 aged 29, and is now buried in Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
