This is image is off my father, John Alcock, who is on the right and his elder brother Charles Alcock. Both men had fought at Dunkirk with the Coldstream guards in the Second Battalion. As my ftaher is pictured as being in 2 SAS in this image it must have been taken sometime after 1943 as he joined 2 SAS in North Africa at that time. He won the Croixe de Guerre with Silver Star for his part in Operation Pistol. This was one of eleven such medals won by the SAS.
