This is a PzKpfw IV displayed at the Tank Museum, Bovington. It is an Ausf D model upgraded to Ausf G standards with additional armour and the long barrelled 75mm gun. It was captured by British Forces at a German tank driving school.
A number of PzKpfw IVs were destroyed by Airborne Forces at Arnhem.

Commonly known as the Panzer IV it was the only German tank to remain in continuous production throughout the war and a total of 8800 were produced between 1936 and 1945.
