Poundon House was a lovely country house used during the war to train agents – the book "Two Eggs On My Plate" is based on this place. We shared it with the FANYs. Summer camp always finished here - groups might have been in Singapore, Malta or Germany but we had a Morse competition with the prize as a new communications receiver donated by the Foreign Office; invariably an Army Emergency Reserve member won. I am the one kneeling on the left with glasses and sporting obviously very new parachute wings.
